What is Image Add Text?

Add Text overlays text on top of an image — perfect for memes, captions, or simple infographics. Drag to position, change font / size / colour, and download.

How to use Image Add Text

  1. Drop an image.
  2. Type your text and pick font, size and colour.
  3. Drag the text into position.
  4. Click "Apply" and download the result.

Why use AinnoBox for this

  • Positioning is direct manipulation — drag the text where it belongs instead of typing coordinates and re-exporting to check.
  • Font, size and colour are all adjustable, so a caption can match the image rather than being locked to one hard-coded style.
  • The text is rendered into the picture at full resolution, so it stays sharp when the image is viewed large.
  • Annotating a screenshot usually means the screenshot contains something internal; adding the label locally keeps it that way.
  • Free, unlimited, no account and no service watermark competing with your own text.

Image Add Text — frequently asked questions

Can I edit or move the text after downloading?
No. Once applied, the text is part of the pixels. Keep the original image if you expect to revise the wording — re-running the tool on the exported file would leave the old text underneath.
How do I keep the text readable over a busy photo?
Pick a colour that contrasts with the area behind it and place the text over a calmer region of the picture. Larger text at high contrast survives resizing and thumbnail generation far better.
Which fonts are available?
The fonts your browser can render locally. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no server-side font library — what you see in the preview is exactly what gets drawn.
