What is Image Favicon?
Favicon Generator turns a single source image into a complete bundle of favicons at all the sizes modern browsers and operating systems need (16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 180, 192, 512 px), plus the .ico container for legacy browsers.
How to use Image Favicon
- Drop a square image (PNG works best, ideally 512×512 or larger).
- Click "Generate Favicons".
- Inspect the bundle preview.
- Download the ZIP containing every size and an HTML snippet to paste into your <head>.
Why use AinnoBox for this
- One source image produces the whole set — eight PNG sizes plus a legacy .ico — so you are not exporting each size by hand and guessing which ones matter.
- The bundle includes the sizes that specific platforms actually ask for: 180 px for the iOS home screen, 192 and 512 px for the Android web app manifest, 16 and 32 px for browser tabs.
- A ready-made HTML snippet ships with the ZIP, which removes the usual round of searching for the correct link and meta tags.
- A logo before launch is confidential material; generating the icons locally means the brand never sits on a third-party favicon service.
- Free, unlimited, no sign-up and no watermark on any icon in the bundle.
Image Favicon — frequently asked questions
- What source image works best?
- A square PNG of at least 512×512 with a simple, high-contrast mark. Fine detail and small text disappear entirely at 16×16, so favicons that read well are usually a single letter, shape or silhouette.
- Do I still need favicon.ico?
- It is included because some older browsers and tools look for /favicon.ico at the site root by default. Modern browsers prefer the PNG sizes declared with link tags, but shipping both costs nothing.
- Where do the files go?
- Put them at the root of your site and paste the supplied snippet into the page head. If your framework has a public or static directory, that is normally the correct destination.
