What is PDF Split?

Split PDF divides a multi-page PDF into separate files based on page ranges you specify (for example "1-5, 6-10, 11"). Useful when you need to share a single chapter or remove confidential sections from a longer document.

PDF Split — frequently asked questions

What happens to pages I do not list?

They are simply not included in any output file. The source PDF on your disk is never modified — splitting always writes new documents and leaves the original untouched.

Can I get one file per page?

Yes. List every page individually, for example "1, 2, 3, 4", and you get four single-page PDFs. For a long document it is usually faster to use Extract Pages if you only want a handful of them.

Do the split files keep the original page size and quality?

Yes. Pages are copied at full fidelity — same dimensions, same embedded fonts, same image data. Nothing is re-encoded or downsampled.

Is the ZIP built on a server?

No. Zipping runs in a dedicated Web Worker on your machine, so even the archive step involves no network request.
