What is Image Resize?

Image Resize scales images to a target width / height while keeping aspect ratio if you choose. Useful for preparing avatars, thumbnails, or fitting platform-specific upload limits.

How to use Image Resize

  1. Drop one or more images.
  2. Enter target width / height (lock aspect ratio if you want).
  3. Click "Resize" — Canvas API redraws each image at the new size.
  4. Download the resized images.

Why use AinnoBox for this

  • The aspect-ratio lock is optional and explicit, so you can either protect the proportions or deliberately force an exact box.
  • Resizing several images to the same target in one run is what makes a set of avatars or catalogue thumbnails look consistent.
  • Rescaling happens through the browser's own Canvas pipeline, which applies smooth interpolation instead of the blocky nearest-neighbour result some naive tools produce.
  • Photos of people, ID documents and internal screenshots get resized without a round trip to anyone's server.
  • Free, unlimited, no account, and nothing stamped onto the output.

Image Resize — frequently asked questions

Can I enlarge a small image?
You can, but no tool can invent detail that was never captured. Upscaling stretches the existing pixels and the result looks soft. Enlarging beyond about twice the original size is rarely worth it.
What happens if I turn the aspect-ratio lock off?
The image is stretched or squashed to hit both numbers exactly. That is what you want for a strict layout slot, and what you do not want for a portrait — faces distort quickly. Crop first if you need a different shape.
Does resizing also make the file smaller?
Usually yes, because there are fewer pixels to store. If you need a specific file size rather than specific dimensions, run Image Compress afterwards and watch the byte counter.
